Σε ένα μικρό αγρόκτημα στα δάση της Νορβηγίας, η οικογένεια Payne ζητά μια άγρια, ελεύθερη ύπαρξη. Οι γονείς παρέχουν στα παιδιά τους κατ’ οίκον εκπαίδευση και επιδιώκουν μια στενά δεμένη οικογενειακή δυναμική, απόλυτα εναρμονισμένη με τη φύση. Ωστόσο, όταν η τραγωδία τούς κτυπά απροσδόκητα την πόρτα, ο ειδυλλιακός τους κόσμος κλονίζεται, αναγκάζοντάς τους να αναζητήσουν νέα μονοπάτια, στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία. Μια προσωπική ιστορία που εμβαθύνει γύρω από τις επιλογές που κάνουμε στη ζωή, την ευθύνη μας απέναντι στον πλανήτη, στα παιδιά μας και στο πώς αντιμετωπίζουμε τη ζωή μετά από μια μεγάλη απώλεια.

On a small farm in the Norwegian forest, the Payne family seeks a wild and free existence. They practice home-schooling and strive for a closely-knit family dynamic in harmony with nature. However, when tragedy unexpectedly strikes the family, it upends their idyllic world and forces them to forge a new path into modern society. An intimate story that delves into our life choices, our responsibility to the planet, our children, and how we navigate life after a significant loss.
